“Hugo Hugo Hugo! Sol was attacked by an invisible man!”

Hugo raised his eyebrows at CJ and then resumed his walk down the hallway, CJ bouncing with him, “Was he hurt?”

“No. I mean, well not for long anyway. The guy was brought in for questioning, like the blurry guy we captured. Speaking of, they haven’t found anything out from that guy yet.”

  “That’s too bad.”

“Wow, you do not sound nearly as excited as you should be right now.” CJ was frowning at him.

Hugo ran a hand through his bleached hair, “Sorry, just distracted. Mr. Hansen gave me a new database to go through.”

“Another one? Wait. Why are you not in the computer room then? You just sat in there for hours before. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’m glad you’re not, cause that’s really boring, but still…”

Hugo shrugged, “It was a small database, and I’m still going through it.”

  “Still…?” CJ tilted her head.

“Did you know the Russian mob employs people with abilities? The head of security can make pretend people, constructs, and they have a woman that can shoot lasers out of her eyes. They think the current boss can control machines.”

“oooooohhhhhh. I bet he downloads a lot of porn!”

Hugo laughed, “Uh, yeah, I don’t know. I think he probably does more than that.”

“Oh yeah of course, evil mob boss stuff. So, what about the Yakuza? They got super-powered bad people too?”

“Mr. Hansen seems to think so. The leader is some guy called The Dragon.”

CJ’s eyes widened, her grin spreading, “A dragon? Oh please tell me we get to fight a dragon!”

Hugo scratched the back of his head, laughing a little “CJ, I don’t think he’s an actual dragon.”

CJ slouched a little, but immediately perked up again. “But you don’t know for sure! He could totally be an actual dragon. Like we go to face him and he goes ‘rawwwwwrrr I’m gonna kill you’ and then he turns into a giant dragon breaking his house and everything.”

“Uh…I suppose that’s a possibility,” Hugo shrugged, “he has two children that appear to be active in the organization as well.”

“The Dragon has dragon babies?!” CJ exclaimed, her eyes lighting up.

“I…” Hugo sighed. “Maybe? No one seems to know what abilities they have, so maybe they are a big family of dragons.”

“Cool!” CJ glanced around finally realizing they were leaving the building, “So, where are we going exactly?”

“To see Maggie. Something’s been bothering me. I want her to see if she can find someone.”

  CJ raised her eyebrows, “Who?”

Hugo stopped moving for a moment, apprising CJ. She wasn’t always paying attention, but he could trust her. “Mr. Hansen’s brother.”

“You mean the supposedly dead one?” Ok, apparently she’d been paying more attention than he’d thought she had.

  “Yeah. That one.”

“Ok,” CJ said blandly, but then she perked up, “Can I drive?”

Hugo arched his eyebrows at her, “Do you have a permit?”

  CJ’s shoulders slumped again, “No.”

  “I’ll think about it.”
