Baalsa'n, observing, was pleased with his daughter.
Certainly, long ago when choosing the women he sired there was no selectivity involved. He captured young women from the "broods" of the other Guardians, roughly serving his own needs to have offspring, casting them aside once the children were conceived.
He placed each in a wandering band of castoffs for which he did nothing. He, however, like those of the other Om-Esfer'n, had long ago lost his ability to command firsthand these peoples created by the “gods”, as these foul creatures called the Al-Esfer'n.
His efforts to disturb and destroy what had come from the others were not as easily accomplished as he had hope.
However this one, this whelp grown into a woman, could be the key to a greater success than before. Even more than he had during the Varkanian wars when he defeated the weakened forces of Kalbr'an.
Now only a force of equal strength could sway him from his aim to destroy this ridiculous new experiment of the others, destroying this world and any others throughout the universe , would give him great pleasure.
But he needed the Ahar'n destroyed so he might strengthen himself beyond the measure of all other Esfer'n. This was always his resolve but it required him to use these puppets -- a difficulty that did not please him at all.
Another also watched Voravia.
She held the fate of this world and perhaps others by what she could do and might do. There had to be an alternative to avoid the disaster she held in her soul.
Her heritage was a known, requiring extreme caution. Willing the changes to happen through other brave people was now the only way the Al-Esfer'n had to accomplish their ends.
New leaders and warriors were needed and must be chosen soon. The Al-Esfer'n must do something soon.
