“What does he look like?” Caleb asked. “What’s your type?”

“Not sure I have a type. But he’s a rough-looking bearded guy. Think lumbersexual. He’d fit in better in the woods than he does in my neighborhood.”

“Are we going to see this house?” I asked.

“Anytime. I have guest rooms. But only one of them has a bed in it.”

“We could go to The Shaft,” Axel said, moving his leg under the table beside mine.

“That is a terrible name for a bar,” Josh said.

“The worst,” I agreed, stroking Axel’s foot with mine.

“Well.” Jason pushed back his chair. “I have to head home. And it isn’t because you’re grilling me. But it’s late, and I have a long drive.”

“You could crash at our place,” Caleb offered.

“I’m gonna drive home,” Jason insisted. “I’m listening to a sexy audio book and I turned it off at a good part. Makes the miles fly by. And it’s the only play I’m getting tonight. Unlike you people.”

“I think I’m too full for sex,” Caleb grunted, standing up, too. “Let’s go home, babe. I need to hibernate like a bear.”

We saw our friends out, then took the last of the glasses to the kitchen. A few minutes later we climbed into our new, king-sized bed and met in the middle. “I can’t get it on with my mom in the house,” Axel whispered.

I burst out laughing. “Okay.” After we’d moved in together, it had taken me a little while to get used to having sex under the same roof as my brothers. I did it anyway, but at the beginning it seemed risky.

But not anymore. These days we got plenty. Which is why Axel didn’t mind that a little making out was all that would happen tonight.

“Not too tight,” he groaned as I hugged him. “I’m so full. I might explode.”

“That’s so sexy.” Chuckling, I kissed him.

He wrapped his arms around me and sighed. “Explosions aside, that was an awesome holiday.”

“It was,” I agreed. “But now starts the march toward Christmas. I don’t know what to get you.”

“Nothing,” he said quickly. “I already have everything I want.”

The same was true for me, but instead of saying so, I teased him. “Well, I guess I’ll have to return that blowjob I was going to give you.”

He pinched my ass. “You’ll give it to me anyway.”

  “True.”

  “Happy Thanksgiving, Cax.”

  “Back at you, babe.”

We shared another kiss, and then went to sleep in each other’s arms.
