“You were just a kid. Ryan moved in when you were nineteen. I’m surprised they let you have one so young.” I couldn’t believe at that age he’d already made up his mind that he didn’t want kids.

“I know what you’re thinking, but kids just aren’t part of my lifestyle. Not once have I regretted the decision in all the years since I had it done. Ryan’s kids are the first ones I’ve ever been around and they’re so tiny they scared the crap out of me at first.” He shrugged. “And money talks. Pay enough and you’ll be able to find a doctor to do whatever you want.”

As if on cue, the distinct wail of a baby could be heard in the distance.

“Is that the babies? They’re home already? Can I see them?” I asked sitting up, forgetting the conversation we’d been having.

“Sure. You’ll have to get dressed first though. They have a nurse in there.” Wrench gave me a crooked smile as he climbed out of the bed. I jumped up and pulled on the shirt he’d been wearing. “As much as I’d love to have you walk around in just that, it’s not quite long enough.” Wrench laughed and threw a pair of shorts at me from a drawer in his dresser. Sliding on the soft shorts and rolling up the waist until they’d stay on by themselves, I walked to the door.

Wrench reached out and pulled me to his chest, sinking a hand into my hair.

“Hey. I have one more thing to tell you before we leave this room,” Wrench murmured before laying a light kiss on my cheek.

“What’s that?” I asked, trying to suppress my excitement at seeing the babies.

“I love you,” Wrench whispered into my ear as his hands slid up my back, holding me tightly to him. I returned the tight embrace and put my lips against his ear.

“I love you more,” I whispered just as softly.

“I’d like to challenge you on that, but let’s go see the little ones before they go back to sleep.” Wrench wrapped an arm around my waist, pulling me close to him as he walked across the hall.

With a soft rap, he pushed open the door to my old bedroom, although it was completely changed. There was no longer a bed, but two large cribs, numerous toys and baby stuff along with some medical equipment that I had to assume was for the babies.

There was a woman in scrubs sitting in a rocking chair with a bottle in one hand and a baby in the other. She smiled when she saw Wrench and stood.

“Mia is looking for you,” the nurse said, handing the baby over to Wrench. “I’ll leave you two. Let me know if you need anything. Once you feed Mia the bottle just leave it on the counter so I can document how much she ate.”

“Okay.” Wrench smiled at me. I stared at the tiny baby in his arm that he was obviously used to holding. “Come meet the girls. Mia and Leah.”

I snapped my eyes up to him at the names. He winked at me.

“Named after someone very important to them. Would you like to hold her? Well, Leah is the calmer of the two. Mia is fussy over who she likes.” Wrench’s eyes twinkled when he talked about them. I couldn’t believe he thought he’d make a bad father.

“I’d love to hold either of them. I’m afraid I don’t know what to do with them though.” I’d never held a baby before.

“Sit down, I’ll bring her to you.” He scooped the other baby out of her crib and brought her over to me, setting her gently in my arm. “Perfect. You’re a natural.”

“Funny. I never really thought I wanted kids. They are so damn precious though.” I ran my finger over her chubby cheek.

“I think you’d make a wonderful mother. You are everything a mother should be.” Wrench was dead serious as he sat on the footstool facing me.

“I think you’d make a pretty damn good father,” I said, without thinking what I was implying.

  “Maybe one day.”

  “Maybe one day,” I repeated.

  Six Months Later

  ~Patrick~

Today was the big day. Dirty and Ryan were getting married. The so-called ‘big event’. I was ready for it to be over already. I didn’t get what the fuss was all about. It was a clearly a woman thing. I was walking Ryan down the aisle to Dirty. Beautiful Melia was walking down with both babies as long as they were cooperating. The little buggers were such a handful, but so sweet at the same time.

Sometimes I’d think about Melia being pregnant again, with my child. Sometimes I’d swear I was never having kids. Funny how being around kids could make you want them and not want them at the same time.

Checking on Ryan one final time to make sure she was almost ready, I went down to make sure Dirty and everyone else were set. At Ryan’s insistence all the men were in suits. She said she didn’t care if everyone hated them, it was her day and it was only for an hour so everyone had to suck it up. All the men were still bitching in the meeting room where they were congregating. Walking out of the room, I was assaulted by a pair of lips on mine.

“You better watch where you’re going. I might have to drag you into one of these rooms and fuck you before things even get started,” I growled, grabbing onto Melia’s hips. She laughed against my lips.

“Try it, big man. I dare you. Ryan would tear your head off if you messed this day up.” Melia wrapped a hand around my neck as she leaned up on her tiptoes. “You can fuck me as soon as this is over. I’ll even keep the dress and heels on.”

“Mmm. Kinky. I like it.” I playfully slapped her ass as she stepped away with a wink before heading up the stairs. Fucking woman drove me crazy. She was about as insatiable as I was. Always finding a new corner or place to make me pin her to the wall, floor, counter, whatever was handy. Of course, I only went along because I had to please my woman. Well, that was true, but I certainly enjoyed it as well.

Snapping out of my thought about fucking Melia, I went back to Ryan to tell her we were all ready to go. I’m sure someone else was making sure the guests were seated and the music and minister were ready too, but that wasn’t for me to worry about.

The procession went quickly, finally leaving just Ryan and me alone in the house waiting for our turn to walk down the aisle.

“You look beautiful, sis,” I whispered in her ear, giving her a kiss on the cheek before holding out my arm for her to loop hers through.

Walking down the aisle, seeing Melia standing there with the two babies in her arms and a broad smile on her face, melted my heart. I knew then and there, I was going to have to make that woman my wife. There was no doubt about it. How I hadn’t thought to ask her before that moment, I have no idea. It was clear as day, a beaming light in my mind.

I stared at her the rest of the wedding, not paying any attention to the vows and exchange of rings. I couldn’t wait for it to be over.

Once Ryan and Dirty disappeared back into the house and the ceremony was over, the after-party began. I quickly handed off the babies to some of the women in the procession and tugged Melia away from the others, around the corner of the house for privacy.

“What are you doing, you crazy man?” Melia laughed even as she shook her head at me.

  “I can’t wait.”

“What? Here? We will so get caught.” Melia giggled even as she slid her panties down her legs, giving me a glimpse of her thigh highs. “You better be quick.”

“Little one, that’s not what I’m talking about.” I tucked her panties in my pocket though.

“Oh.” She frowned, confused. Grabbing both her hands, I sank to one knee in front of her.

“Will you be my wife? You are the most important thing in my life and I’m never letting you go anyway, so will you be mine?” I winked at her. It was a formality. Married or not, she was mine.

“Absolutely. On one condition.” Melia winked back and tugged on me until I was standing.

“What condition?” I asked, arching an eyebrow.

“That you fuck me right here, right now.”

  “Done.”
