I took hold of my cock and filled her. We both groaned at the same time. I licked my thumb and slowly penetrated her asshole. She was all mine.
“God, it’s so good. So…” She liked it when I played with her perfect ass.
Complete fucking bliss. There was nothing better than being joined as one—one body, one soul.
“I’m coming,” she moaned and covered her face with a pillow.
“I’m coming too, baby. Come for me now,” I said as I thrust into her sweet pussy. I thrust and thrust until I released my seed inside her. The orgasm erupted from my balls and spread throughout my body. Emily came with me.
I took my cock out of her, lay on the bed and pulled her to me. We were both out of breath.
“That was amazing, Ryan.”
“Because we love each other. I’ve never felt like this before.” I kissed her on the head.
“Do you think anyone heard us?”
“I wouldn’t care if they did.”
“Don’t talk like that.”
“Your mother wasn’t brought into this world in any other way. And your grandmother and grandfather probably still have a sex life.” I pulled the sheet over us.
She briefly considered my words and whispered, “Jesus, I don’t want to imagine that.”
I laughed and turned to face her. “Tomorrow, we’ll all go to see your granddad’s vineyard. Also, your grandmother is getting on, so I think you should help me find a cleaning company. They’ll send someone over to clean the house every week. I want her to rest. She seems very tired.”
Emily leaned over me and our lips merged. “Thank you for everything you’re doing for me and my family. You have no idea how much it means to me.”
Actually, I had a pretty good idea. I wasn’t blind. It was obvious how much they loved each other.
Her warm body pressed against mine. Even though I’d come only a little while ago, I wanted to have her again. I gazed at her beautiful face and every last piece of me heated up. “I can’t find the words to describe how much you mean to me, Emily. I can’t believe a pure, good and nice person like yourself is capable of loving someone like me.”
She frowned. “Don’t put yourself down like that.”
I pressed my lips together before saying, “You’ve changed me completely. You’ve made me a better man. You’ve given me hope and faith…so much faith for the future, which is no longer in black and white. It is now filled with so many vivid colors. Just like you.” I took her hand and kissed her engagement ring. Despite my past of sex, drugs and rock ’n’ roll, I was confident I could live a perfectly ordinary family life, be a good husband and, in time, a good father. With Emily beside me, I could do anything.
“Life’s too short, so we need to learn to enjoy the little things, to smile more and to love more.” She stroked my face. “I love you, Ryan Wilder. You’ve endured a great deal of suffering in the past, but there must’ve been some good times, too. I’m sure you have some nice memories. Like the time you’ve dedicated to your music, something I know you’ll keep doing because music is your life.”
Music would always remain in my heart but…, “You’re my life, Emily.”
“I know, and you’re mine. But everyone has their own past, and we can’t simply put it behind us and pretend it never existed. It remains in us. It has left its scars, but we’ve learned to live with them. And everything you’ve gone through, my love, has made you the man you are now. You’re the most wonderful man I’ve ever met. And I’m so proud you’ve chosen me to be your wife. I want you to remember that in here…” She put her hand on my chest, “…lies a good heart.”
Who knows, maybe I’d also started to believe there was something good in me?
Epilogue
Emily
After Ryan and I got married, our life together did not change. For five years it was just us. Ryan didn’t want us to rush into having kids. He always said he didn’t want to share me with anyone. What is more, our everyday life was quite stressful. Blackstone went on several world tours, where Travis, I and two colleagues joined the band as stage dancers.
Whenever we returned to Florida, I went back to work as a dancer in Wild Angels, but only part time. Of course, I could’ve stopped working completely, which was what Ryan suggested, but I couldn’t imagine life without dancing.
When I became pregnant with our daughter, Vivian Chantal, I realized my dream of opening a ballet school for children. This work brought me a lot of satisfaction and didn’t require much effort. Most importantly, I didn’t have to work late as I had in Wild Angels.
Giving birth to Vi, as we called her, was very difficult. When she finally came into this world and they laid her on my breast, I cried tears of joy.
I’ll never forget the love radiating from Ryan’s face when he saw our daughter for the very first time.
He pressed his lips against mine, kissed me and murmured, “I was so scared for you, my love. I can’t describe how happy I am that it’s all over and both of you are okay.”
He was exhausted from all the tension and stress. Under different circumstances, I would’ve comforted him, but I was so tired myself that I only wanted to sleep.
Vi’s birth was a dramatic event, but at least I didn’t have to curse like a sailor at my husband, as had been the case with Misty during the birth of her daughter. Poor Travis had had more obscenities thrown at him than at any other time in his life, and by the woman who loved him at that. She’d told him she hated him and couldn’t stand him since she’d had to endure such agony because of him. Of course, nothing less could be expected from my temperamental friend, and thank God that Trav wasn’t offended. He knew that during the pain of childbirth, a woman could say things she never would under different circumstances.
Ryan hugged our daughter and she disappeared into his huge arms. “Mine. My tiny, sweet treasure,” he whispered and kissed her gently on the cheek. “Oh, Vivian… If you only knew what a scare you gave me. You and your mommy are my whole world. Without you, I couldn’t and wouldn’t want to live.”

Soft sounds filled the living room. Ryan was playing Comptine d’un autre ete by the French composer Yann Tiersen on the piano. His long fingers glided smoothly across the keys. Our little daughter, Vivian, gazed at him adoringly. Her big, blue, doll-like eyes were rapt by his performance.
Peace, harmony and love filled the house.
Life had given me everything I hadn’t even dared to dream of—a wonderful husband and healthy children—Vivian Chantal and her little brother, Eric Maxwell, who was only three months old.
I’d always put health first, because to me, there was nothing more precious than that. Very few people could predict the future, and I was glad I didn’t have such abilities. I had no idea what would happen in one or two years and, anyway, I didn’t want fill my head with negative thoughts. I wanted to live fully in the present and enjoy what I had. To enjoy the little things: our daughter’s bright smile, the love from Ryan whenever he looked at me, every dream.
As soon as the music ended, Vivian said, “Again.”
“Later, honey. Let’s keep quiet for a while. We don’t want to wake your brother, now do we?”
Our little son had been sleeping in his cot for two hours. He had very similar features to his father: eyes, nose, chin. His body, as small as it was, radiated inner strength. He was a big baby, which why I’d had a Caesarian.
Her small pink lips parted and she said, “Elic needs to sleep.”
Our dear princess was almost three years old, but she still had difficulties pronouncing her Rs. She was so sweet, with her blond hair tied in two pigtails. Her dress was white, with prints of big pink orchids. She was well-behaved, good and caring—a real cherub. My heart filled with great love and pride whenever I watched her care for her brother—trying to tuck him in with his blankie like I did, singing him songs to calm him when he cried. He couldn’t wish for a better sister. And we, as parents, for two better children.

Ryan and I felt truly blessed.
God, how nice it was for your heart to be filled with happiness. I felt so light, it was like I was flying, driven by positive energy. Gone were the negative thoughts. As were the fear and uncertainty. There was only joy, warmth and love.
True, beautiful, boundless love.
Heaven.

In just two days, we’d celebrate Vivian’s third birthday. Ryan had arranged for Grandma and Granddad to come from France on his private jet. My brother, who was studying at Boston’s MIT, was coming too. In short, we’d invited all our close friends and family to the birthday party.
More than anything else, Vivian liked to play with Clare, Misty’s and Travis’ daughter, who was one year older than her. Vi and Clare got on really well and almost never argued. Ryan and Travis spoiled them, fulfilling every single one of their whims.
The doorbell rang and I went to answer it.
Susan and Mike were here to take our daughter for a short afternoon walk. Ryan’s mother helped out with the kids a lot and was always happy to spend time with them.
“Look who’s here, Grandma and Granddad,” Ryan said to tease Mike. Their relationship had changed since Mike had married Susan. Ryan now accepted him as a member of the family. But that didn’t mean he’d stopped ribbing him—in fact, he did so whenever he got the chance.
Mike rolled his eyes and bent down to hug Vivian. She laughed and replied, “That’s Uncle Mike. He’s not my granddad.”
“That’s right, honey. Your granddad is Jean-Paul and lives in France. Look what we brought you,” Mike said and handed her a Barbie doll.
“You shouldn’t have. The house is already full of dolls,” I interjected in protest.
My husband put his arm around me and kissed me on the cheek. “Let him buy all the presents he wants. He could do with spending some money.”
“Is your rucksack ready? You haven’t forgotten we’re going to the beach, have you?” Susan asked and stroked her hair.
I passed her Vi’s rucksack. As they set off, Ryan shouted after them, “Mike, take good care of my princess. Don’t let her go into the water by herself.”
“I won’t let a hair fall from her head,” Mike shouted back and climbed into the car. I trusted him and Susan completely.
The sun was very hot. There wasn’t a single cloud in the sky. But it was nice and cool inside the house.
We took a peek into our son’s bedroom to check whether he was still asleep and then collapsed on the bed in our room.
“Are you tired? Do you want me to leave you to sleep?”
I snuggled up to Ryan and rested my head on his chest. “I’m not. I want to cuddle.”
He ran a hand along my thigh. “We’re alone…our son’s asleep. Don’t you think it’d be difficult to stop at cuddling?”
I laughed. He raised my chin and his lips touched mine. “I love you, love of mine.”
“I love you more.”
“That’s impossible.” His warm breath caressed my face before his tongue slid into my mouth. He kissed me deeply, holding tight a fistful of my hair, as if he was afraid I’d run away.
His hand slid under my cotton dress and grabbed my butt, pulling me closer. His cock was hard, trembling in anticipation.
“I want you. Now.” He kicked his shorts and boxers aside. Then he grabbed my panties and tore them in one swift motion.
“You’ve got to stop tearing—” My voice faded when his cock slid inside me.
“Sorry, I’ll buy a new pair. I’ll buy a ton of panties, any color you like, but right now, we don’t have time for such niceties. Our son could wake up any second now. And I…” He stopped talking and started thrusting his hips at me.
“God, Ryan…”
“Tell me if I’m being too rough. I don’t want to hurt you.”
“You’re not hurting me. Oh, yes, just like that… It’s so good feeling you inside me.”
He pulled down the straps of my dress, revealing my naked breasts. His soft lips covered my right nipple and I screamed loudly.
“Ride me, babe. You set the tempo.”
I moved up and down on his cock, trying to reach the sublime end.
“You’re so beautiful, Emily. I love you so much.”
I was dead tired, but really needed to come.
Our son’s sobbing came through the baby monitor.
“Christ, I love our child, but I also need to have my way with his mother.” I understood him completely. It wasn’t easy to have sex whenever we wanted when we were parents.
I kissed Ryan and wriggled out from him. “He’s hungry. I have to breastfeed him.”
I picked up the little rascal from his bedroom and sat on the king-size bed in our room. Eric stared at me, babbling something at me. He was so sweet, moving his tiny arms and cooing.
“Yes, my little treasure. I know you have a lot to say. But we have to wait until you grow up a bit more.” I stroked his chin and he started cooing again in response.
“He’ll become a singer, like his father.” Ryan kissed him on the head and placed pillows behind me, so I’d be more comfortable on the bed.
I pulled down the strap of my dress and offered my breast to my hungry baby. He put his mouth around my nipple and started sucking on it hungrily.
“How about you let me have the other breast?” Ryan asked, giving his most lady-killer panty-wetting smile. And without waiting for my reply, he leaned in and covered my other nipple with his mouth.
“Ryan, don’t be such a pervert.”
Our son stopped sucking and looked at his father. He reached out, caressed his face and babbled something at him. Warmth spread across my body and my heart filled with great joy. Was he trying to speak or simply enjoying making random noises? I had no idea.
“You won’t let me drink your milk, is that it?” Ryan asked and stroked his head. He received another coo in response. Only Eric knew what that meant.
“Eat now, son. We’ll talk later. You need to grow up big and strong.”
The baby resumed sucking on my breast. Ryan raised himself toward me and kissed me on the temple.
“Did you ever used to think we’d be so happy?”
“No, I never thought I’d be so lucky.”
Ryan put his arm around me and I rested my head on his shoulder, gazing up into the huge mirror above our bed.
He caught my eye in the reflection and asked, “What do you see?”
“I see our wonderful family. What about you?”
“I see a sweet baby boy, who’s already made me proud of him. I see myself holding the most beautiful woman in my arms, who makes me feel warmth and butterflies in my stomach whenever I look at her. I see a content man, crazy in love with his beautiful wife. A man who can’t wait to make love to her tonight and show her how much he loves her.”
I laughed happily. He kissed me on the head and added, “I have everything I need.”

On our way to Geneva in the Bentley, I noticed Alexander was very tense. For most of the journey, we were both absorbed in our own thoughts. John Legend played in the background as my gaze scanned the beautiful Swiss landscapes—picturesque green meadows and tall snowcapped mountains. Mother Nature had given this country divine beauty in spades.
I turned to Alexander and saw his lips were pursed and a muscle in his cheek was throbbing continuously. Was he afraid that I was about to meet his brother?
The silence between us tormented me. I didn’t like seeing him dejected. So I decided to ask him about his childhood, knowing he must have some nice memories from that time at least. It turned out that in one respect, Alexander and I were very similar. Like me, he’d also doted on his brother, and not only when they’d lived together in their parent’s house, but afterward too. I sensed the bond between them was no less strong than that between Johnny and me. He told me funny stories of their life together and then I told him about ours. This made the three-hour drive to Geneva pass imperceptibly. Our conversation relaxed him, even if only for a short while. When we neared the clinic where Oliver was being treated, he tensed up again.
“You know you can rely on me. I wouldn’t dream of telling anyone about your brother, not even my father. I hope you’re not worried about that.”
Alexander placed his warm hand on my knee. “I know and I trust you completely. But I can’t stop worrying about what condition I’ll find Oliver in. The last time I saw him, he was really desperate. I don’t know how to help him accept that the treatment is for his own good.”
