She looked into his chocolate-brown eyes and brought her hand up to his face so she was cupping his cheek and rubbing her thumb against his bottom lip.
“You’re so sexy, Mason. I know you don’t need to hear it because your ego can’t get any bigger, but you are sexy as hell.”
“My ego has taken quite a beating this past year, so to hear those words come from your gorgeous lips means more to me than you will ever know,” he said sheepishly.
Piper knew it wasn’t the time to bring up Brooke, but she couldn’t help herself. “There’s a screw loose with Brooke. She was crazy to leave you.”
His eyebrows shot up at her proclamation. “Is that right? Does that mean there might be a possibility for something to happen between us?”
Flashes of Jax entered her mind, making her feel incredibly guilty for where she was, who she was with, and what she wasn’t currently wearing. Panic set in and she realized that what she was doing was so incredibly wrong that she hopped off the table and started looking for her bra. Mason stopped her before she could get very far.
“Don’t, don’t bring him in here. It’s just you and me Piper.” He caressed her face and brought his lips down to hers, slowly nipping away until she forgot where she was again. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he pushed her back on the pool table.
“It’s just you and me babe, no one else.” Piper nodded her head, agreeing with him. “Now, you mentioned something about me being sexy?”
Piper giggled against his mouth and slowly worked her hands down his body, putting all thoughts aside for the moment because she wanted to be with Mason, even if it was only for one night. Her body was calling to him; her soul was reaching for him and she couldn’t deny herself any longer.
His hands moved up her body as he kissed down her neck. He cupped her breasts at the same time, making her moan in delight. His hands were so big that they covered her entire breasts, turning her on even more. Her breath became ragged as he slipped his head down to her breasts and started working them with his tongue. Each lap and suck on her nipples had her begging for more. Her body felt like it was floating and there was only one way to get her down and that was Mason.
His hands worked their way down to her shorts and panties and tore them off her legs so she was completely bare to him. He sat up and took her nakedness in. He blew out a ragged breath in response.
“I can’t tell you how many times I’ve dreamt of this moment, of you being naked in my arms. Now that it’s here, it doesn’t even compare to what I conjured up in my head. You are perfect Piper, so fucking perfect.”
If it was possible for a person to erupt in flames, then she just did. His words set her core on fire, making her need for him that much stronger. She tried to pull him down closer, but he was taking his own sweet time. He kissed her all the way down her stomach until he reached the tattoos on her hips; he gave each tattoo a kiss and then looked up at her with a grin.
“My favorite tats in the world.”
“Mason…please,” she squirmed.
“So impatient. What do you want baby?”
“You to fuck me, please Mason…”
He grinned at her again and lowered his mouth so he hovered right above her core. The muscles that helped her breathe were paralyzed at the moment; no air was coming in as she anticipated the touch of Mason on her most sensitive part. Mason stuck his tongue out and teased the skin right above her mound.
“Fuck…Mason.” She squirmed, trying to connect his tongue with her folds, but struggled since he was holding her hips down. When she thought she couldn’t take it anymore, he dove in, spreading her legs farther than she thought they could go and licking her until she thought she wouldn’t be able to see anymore. It happened so fast she wasn’t ready. She screamed his name, literally screamed as her hips convulsed against his tongue.
She heard rustling when she was trying to come back down from heaven and felt Mason flip her over on her stomach so she was now bent over the pool table. He leaned over her body and she felt the first nudge of his erection against her body, making her even wetter than before in anticipation of him being inside of her.
He leaned over her ear and said, “I want you to stay bent over, but I need you to spread your legs. Can you do that for me?” She nodded and spread her legs for him. He was being a little bossy, but she didn’t seem to mind. “Perfect.” He gave her ass a slap, sending sparks straight to her core and making her moan.
“You like that?” Piper didn’t say anything because she was too embarrassed at her reaction. She didn’t want him thinking him spanking her was a turn-on. Before she could respond to his question, he slapped her ass again, this time on the other cheek. She bucked her ass up in the air and buried her head in her hands, once again moaning.
“Fuck, that’s hot, Piper.”
He pushed her head down further, raised her hips and played with her opening. She was so ready for him and she wanted him, now.
“For fuck’s sake, Mason…”
She felt him chuckle on top of her and she was just about to turn around and slap him for torturing her so much when he fully inserted himself in one swift move. They both screamed out in ecstasy. Mason held himself still so Piper was able to feel the full effect of his erection inside of her. She had never felt so full in her life.
Wanting to move and feel more of him, she started to rock her hips. He quickly stopped her.
“Don’t move.”
“Mason, please I want to feel you.”
He groaned as she felt his head against the back of her shoulder. “Baby, please don’t move. I’m trying to gather myself. If you move, I’ll explode in two seconds.”
“Oh?” Piper smiled to herself and started rocking her hips as much as she could. Payback is a bitch, she thought.
“Damn it Piper…God, I’m going to fucking come; stop moving.”
She couldn’t if she wanted to because he just hit her pleasure spot and she was about to go over...once again. She moved her hips one last time and started screaming his name. Her inner walls contracted around Mason and he yelled in frustration.
He grabbed her hips tighter and pumped hard into her as she felt his release. He slumped over her and kissed her back, where the birds flew across her spine.
“You vixen.” She felt him smile against her back. He pulled out and deposited the condom in the trash next to the pool table. He looked back at her and gave her a huge grin. He held out his hand and pulled her in close to his chest, kissing her on the forehead. “We are doing that again. Come home with me?”
His face was grinning, but his eyes were vulnerable; if she said no, he might crack into two. She couldn’t do that to him and she didn’t want to. She wanted to spend the night with him and see what it would be like to have Mason for one whole night all to herself.
“Where do you live?”
“Only a couple blocks away.” He picked her up and started walking toward the door.
“Mason! We’re naked.”
He looked down at both of them and shrugged, heading for the door again.
“Oh no you don’t!” She was able to wiggle herself loose from his grip and took off for her clothes. They spent the next half hour chasing each other around the bar naked, making out on separate occasions and then finally walking to his apartment, holding hands. Being with Mason felt so right, so effortless, as if she had known him forever. She tried not to think about what that meant; she just wanted to spend one night with him and she did, making love every which way possible and in every room available.
Chapter 13
Hannah gripped the bottle of wine she got for her and Todd in one hand with her purse and unlocked the door to her apartment. Piper covered for her for the last part of Hannah’s shift so she could spend a romantic night with Todd. Last night, they had spent their time together holding each other and making love; she planned on doing a repeat.
She was so thrilled to have Todd home and she was thrilled that he made a solid comm
itment to her. For once, she felt like their relationship was moving forward and, to top it off, he told her last night that he wouldn’t have to leave for work for a little while, so she was excited to have Todd all to herself for days on end.
She walked into her apartment and almost dropped the wine that was in her hand. Sitting in the middle of the living room floor were Todd’s garment bag and carry-on laptop case. Was he leaving again?
“Todd?” she called across the apartment, as she set her purse, keys, and wine on the table in the entryway. “Todd?” she called again, looking around the apartment.
Todd came out of the bedroom, wearing one of his impeccably tailored grey suits, a white dress shirt, and a deep blue tie. His blond hair was slicked back, like usual, and he looked ready for business.
Hannah felt her lip start to tremble. “Todd, what’s going on?”
He looked at her regretfully. “Sorry sweetheart, but I have to go.”
“What? No, you just got here. How on earth do you have to go again?”
“I just got called and have to be in New York for a meeting tomorrow. I’m sorry.”
“Can’t someone else go? You just got here; I planned on spending the night with you, drinking wine and…you know…” she trailed off, too embarrassed to say making love to him. “I just don’t think it’s fair that you have to be the one who keeps flying around when there are plenty of other people who can go around doing the same thing you do. Why do you always have to be the go-to guy? I think you’re being used because they know you won’t ever say no; maybe if…”
“Hannah!” Todd shouted. “Shut up!”
Hannah almost stumbled back from Todd’s anger and hateful word. He had never talked to her like that and it scared her that she had never seen that side of him. She didn’t like that he could flip a switch on her so fast and change his mood dramatically. She didn’t know what to say, so she just stood there.
Todd grabbed his bags and started heading for the door. Hannah didn’t want him leaving on such bad terms, so she went after him.
“Todd, wait! I’m sorry. I was just so excited…”
He turned around and the man that looked her in the eyes was not that man she knew and loved. The man staring at her was angry, with a hint of scary lacing his pupils. His jaw was clenched tightly when he talked to her.
“I told you not to bother me about my work. I’m working to provide for us so you can have fancy things and not have to be a bar maid anymore. Don’t you want something better for your life than waiting on tables?”
Ouch that hurt. Hannah knew her job wasn’t the most valued job, but she enjoyed the people she worked with, the money was decent, and she liked the patrons who came in.
“I only want you. I don’t care where we live, what we have, or how much money is in the bank.”
“Well, I fucking care, so stop harassing me.” He never swore at her because she knew she didn’t like it, so for him to drop the f-bomb on her was very odd. Something must have happened that he was not telling her. He started walking out the door toward the stairs, so she chased after him.
“Todd, wait…” She lunged at him and grabbed his shoulder, but he pulled away, sending her off balance and tumbling down the stairs. The wall at the bottom of the flight of stairs stopped her in her place. The side of her head was throbbing and her right eye had already started to swell shut. She looked up and saw Todd staring at her, not making a move. Was she dreaming? Did she just fall down the stairs and her boyfriend didn’t seem to care?
As if someone slapped him out of his haze, he dropped his bags and went running down the stairs and dropped before her, cupping her face. A look of horror flashed in his eyes as he took in her appearance.
“Jesus, Hannah…I don’t, I…” He was speechless and she was glad; she didn’t want to hear what he had to say. She propped herself up and found that every bone in her body was aching already. Great, work would be interesting the next day.
Without a word, Hannah went up the stairs and headed straight for her bathroom. When she looked in the mirror, she stared at a frazzled woman with blood running down her face and a swollen eye. Her hand was shaking as she examined the cut that was near her hairline. It didn’t seem too deep, thankfully, because the last thing she wanted to do right now was head to the emergency room and explain why she needed stiches. She pulled out her first aid kit and tended to her wound, closing the one-inch cut with a couple of butterfly strips. Piper would have a cow when she saw her tomorrow.
Hannah put away her kit and turned to leave, but was startled by Todd standing in the doorway. She was so engaged in fixing her cut that she didn’t realize Todd was standing there watching her the whole time. His face looked ghostly white and his eyes looked like they were watering.
She tried to move by him, but he gently stopped her. “Hannah, please I’m so sorry.”
“Just leave, Todd. You wouldn’t want to miss your flight.”
“I’m not going.”
Hannah rolled her eyes. “Oh, is this where I say ‘no Todd, it’s okay, you have to work, go.’?”
“No, I already called. Someone else is covering for me. I’m staying and I want to make sure you’re going to be okay. We should take you to the emergency room. You might have a concussion.”
“I’m not going to the emergency room. I’m fine. I think its best that you stay somewhere else tonight, Todd…maybe think about your priorities.”
Todd ran a frustrated hand through his hair. “Hannah, I don’t know how to explain this to you. In order for me to get anywhere in my job, I have to go on these trips; I have to work, but it’s going to pay off, sweetheart. I promise. Remember, just give me two more years and I’ll be ready. We can do it. I just need you to be more understanding.”
“I just hate that you have to leave right when you get here, it’s not fair.”
He pulled her in for a hug. “I know, sweetheart. Believe me, I don’t like leaving you here alone. I want to be with you and hold you every night, but just remember, I’m doing this for us so we can have a life and a family together.”
“I know,” she sniffed, not realizing that she was crying.
“Come on,” he pulled her into the bedroom and started undressing her and himself.
“I thought you were going to leave.”
“No, I told you, I called in. I’m yours all night.”
“You really called in…for me?”
He cupped her face and kissed her forehead. “Of course. You fell down the stairs…because of me. I need to make sure you’re okay. You’re my world Hannah. I love you.”
“I love you too, Todd.”
Hannah let Todd fully undress her and take her to bed. Even though it was heartwarming that he wasn’t going to leave, she still knew he was going to leave at some point. He always gave short notice, so it was hard for her to enjoy the time she had with him, since she was dreading the time he had to leave.
***
Daylight peeked through the windows of Mason’s bedroom, waking him to find a warm, soft body in his embrace. Flashbacks of last night ran through his head. Piper on the pool table, Piper on the kitchen table, Piper in the shower, Piper beneath him and so many other positions and places. She had worn him out and, when he thought they were spent for the night, she reached down grabbed his manhood and started stroking him back to life. Never in his life had he spent a night full of lust like he did last night. If he hadn’t already fallen for her, he definitely fell for her last night and it wasn’t even because of her insatiable appetite for sex. It was in between the sessions of lust that made him go crazy for her.
They talked about everything ranging from elementary school to family to most embarrassing stories. He felt like he had known her for years after last night. He told her some of his deepest secrets and fears and she talked about her controlling father and childhood of moving from place to place, without a warning or care.
They found they had the love of classic movies, music, food and sex
in common. Mason liked to take charge and she, to her dismay, didn’t mind relinquishing control. At one point, he had a wad of her hair bunched in his hand, his dick coming at her from behind, and she was bent over the couch, offering her entire body for him to take control of. He had one of the biggest orgasms of his life while gripping her hair and taking what he wanted. He was a goner after that.
She lightly stirred, but stayed sleeping. Mason buried his head in her hair and inhaled. The woman smelled like lavender and her hair was soft as silk. He didn’t want to pull away, but he knew he would have to soon, since he had practice to get to and if he was late, Coach Ryan would have his head.
He rubbed his thumb up and down Piper’s stomach, silently calling her name.
“Piper, babe. I have to get up and get ready for practice.”
“Hmm?” She turned in his arms and he watched her hair fan out across his pillow. He would never forget what she looked like in the morning. She was a goddess. She opened her beautiful eyes and made eye contact with him, which turned out to be a horrible idea. Her eyes started searching Mason’s face and it was as if she realized she was in bed with a shark. She hopped out of bed, tripping and struggling to free herself from the sheets, while picking up her clothes that were scattered across the room.
“Shit, shit, shit,” she muttered under her breath. Mason sat in bed, confused. What the hell was going on? She knew she’d spent the entire night with him, shared stories with him, and swapped bodily fluids, so why was she acting like he was a stranger?
“Piper, what are you doing?”
“I need to get out of here.”
He sat up and slipped on a pair of sweats, not bothering with a T-shirt. “Why?”
She stopped what she was doing and looked at him as if he was stupid. She gestured between them and said, “Because of what I did.” She gripped her head in frustration and tugged on her hair. “Jesus, I have a boyfriend. What was I thinking?”
Rage boiled up Mason’s spine as she charged toward her. “What did I tell you about bringing him up?”
