If you are reading this, you have followed me on an amazing journey that has taken me to the end of my very first romantic series. But it’s been so much more than that, too. It’s been a labor of love between me and my wonderful editor Heather Howland, who believed in the Hearts of the Anemoi from the very first moment I described it to her in a blog’s comment section (and who gave me these fantastic covers!). It’s been a wonderful partnership between me and amazing author friends Christi Barth, Lea Nolan, and Stephanie Dray, who brainstormed and plotted and held my hand along the way. The series would never have been anything like it is without Christi’s expert comments on books two through four. And it’s also been a wonderfully fun experience I’ve shared with readers like you, who were always what it was all about.
Because of you, I got to bring Owen and Zephyros and Chrysander and Devlin to life. You cheered with me when Owen returned and Ella lived and Laney met Hephaestus and got to make her choice. And you cried with me (and some of you yelled, too, and that’s okay because I understood why!) when we had to say good-bye to Boreas. Along the way, you voted for these books in contests and told me how much you loved them and how much you wanted more.
And you made it one of the most amazing experiences of my career.
I also must give thanks to my amazing family for always supporting me and cheering me on, even when the workdays grew long and Mom got a little deadline-crazed. I couldn’t do any of this without you.
