CHAPTER 4
It has been 3 months, Tyler’s dad sending him to Boston to his aunt. This news spreads like fire. Kate heard that too. Moreover, it makes her upset.
Tyler wants to meet Kate one last time but he can’t find her, when he saw Alice at the town’s mart, he stops her to ask about Kate.
“Alice I really wants to meet Kate she’s not picking up my call, I need to know where Kate is?” Tyler asked quickly.
“It’s useless Tyler she won’t see you even you stand in front of her, she’s really…really mad at you, my advice… leave her alone now” Alice said.
“I know…she doesn’t want to see me… I did not cheat her…I just want explain...” Tyler said.
“No...But you hit Jake...” Alice said. Then she move to leave.
“I thought you like it... You were upset with him that he take Sophie and didn’t ask you ... May be now he learned his lesson” Tyler said bluffing. He said this to melt her, he knows her weakness. Tyler was a very smart guy, he never done something without a reason.
Alice thought a little then said “you are right I kind of like it... He really deserved that ... I mean he never care about me, always behind that Sophie, at least now his eyes are open for someone else, now he can see someone else’s love for him. Thanks”
“I really like you Alice... And you deserve some one better than Jake” Tyler said in his charms. He knows very well, how to convince some one. That’s one of his tricks and it makes him more mysterious.
“Thanks Tyler... Kate stay late in school for Mr. Crane’s project ... May be she’s alone” Alice said smiling.
“Thanks... Alice” Tyler said and leaves but stop as Alice call him and says “don’t tell her what I said about Jake... She’ll kill me”
Tyler smile and said “I won’t”

He came to the school to say good-bye to Kate. She was standing in hallway standing infront of her open locker to give notes to Paul.
Paul was her lab partner. They are laughing on Paul’s jokes, Tyler knows that Paul like Kate a lot. So he was jealous, as Paul see him coming he says good- bye to Kate and leaves.
As he cross Tyler, Tyler gives him a sharp look.
School time was over so there was on one.
Tyler came near to Kate. Kate realizes someone is behind her. Tyler gathers his strength then says,
“I’m sorry... Kate...I’m leaving today...I just...”
“Well then leave soon and please don’t come back EVER,” Kate said to him without looking at him.
She locked the locker then move toward the gate but Tyler block her way then says
“How long will it take for you to forgive me ...I told you, there was nothing between me and Sophie. I was just…” Tyler said putting his hands on her shoulders.
“I don’t care about you and your stupid Sophie, how dare you touch my best friend and now pretend it’s not a big deal, you hit him for girl… some cheap…girl. If you don’t like him, you should need to tell me…no! You humiliated him infront of everyone… because that’s what you always wanted” Kate said as she pushed his hands away.
She straight looked in his eyes “of course… it’s all about Jake” Tyler said then turned to leave but stop as he remembers something then says
“One day you will hate him Kate and I know that he deserve it and may be… you try to kill him, he’s not worthy of your love”
“I’ll never hate him and if I ever... I wish you die before I kill him…I will never let you win from him… ever” Kate said quickly, she was very angry over him so she said everything without thinking, Tyler was shocked.
He looked her last time then leave as he leave Kate realize she said something very bad that she can’t take back but why did she says it?
She never wants to say this but why? Why did she say those words? She was depressed. In her depression she forget that why Tyler pointed Jake with darkness in his future.
Alice met Jake at the bakery where he’s buying cake for Kate. It was the first meeting of them after the incident at prom.
Alice was happy about what happen to Jake. Jake smile at her and try to leave but Alice stops her and says “so sorry Jake... About what happen ... I never really like her anyway?”
Jake look at the ground then said “yeah... Things happens”
“Well some time they happen for our own good... Sometime if we met someone it’s for good... And sometime if someone hurt us; it’s for our own good too. And sometimes if someone deceive you… it means you learn a great lesson” Alice said, she thought he apologize to her, for not asking her for prom.
“You think ... If we just met someone its some kind of sign” Jake asked
“Yes... It is” Alice said she don’t understand what sign Jake talking about.
“Great... Thanks Alice for the advice” Jake said and leaves the store, leaving Alice confused.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY KI” Jake yells from her back as she was standing on cliff backing on a tree. It was a big tree Jake and Kate Call it GNOME.
They were playing, there since they were 12.
“Thanks Jake” Kate said as she takes her gift, it was Kate 17th birthday “well... Open it” Jake said stubbornly.
It was a blue box, Kate open the box. It has a silver wing shaped locket and in middle it has a white stone which make it more appealing.
“OMG! THANKS JAKE... IT’S BEAUTIFUL… I LOVE IT JAKE, OH I LOVE YOU JAKE” Kate said as she wears the necklace.
Jake saves his prom suit money to buy this necklace but he did not tell that to Kate.
“I LOVE YOU TOO... AND MUCH MORE” Jake said as they hug each other.
Kate suddenly had thought about what Tyler said for Jake. She sits under the tree, backing it and looks at the sunset thinking
“Why Tyler has said it. He must be jealous, should I tell Jake ...no! It would hurt him. Besides Tyler only said it so I forget what he had done to me. If he just said sorry four to five times I’ll forgive him...well he’s long gone now”.
When Jake saw her in lost in thought he says “I’m sorry it’s because of me...if I never hit him he never leave. He’ll come back to you… I’m sorry Ki. I tried to control myself, I should talk to him and maybe he has some misunderstanding” “misunderstanding… he is so smart Jake, he knows too many things… boys of his age don’t. He knows what he’s doing and he did what he wants… so stop blaming yourself”
“I can’t stop Ki… when I see you like this… I feel like it’s my fault” Jake said looking at the sunset.
“Forget it Jake it’s not your fault we both know whose fault was that” Kate said as she try to cheer him up.
Jake knows that Kate is upset because Tyler leaves the city, Jake didn’t want him to leave because he knows Kate’s feeling for him.
Then he have some thought to cheer her up and he smile then he said as looking at sunset “you know he was really good looking guy Tyler Flaws…”
“It’s OK Jake,” Kate said, Jake again smile and said.
“No Ki tell me...he was most handsome and popular guy in school, all the girl were flatter on him, even Alice and he asked you out…” Kate gets surprised as she listens to Jake but after a little while she understands what he’s trying to do.
“I know” Kate said with low tune.
“you know he really fight like a marine soldier the one you like...you should looked his muscles, boy...they were strong…I feel them in my jaws” Jake said and know that Kate going to cry any moment.
However, Kate has something in mind she says
“OMG! JAKE...DON’T TELL ME...THIS CAN’T BE HAPPEN”
“I know Ki... I know” Jake said.
Kate smiled then yells “YOU ARE IN LOVE WITH HIM JAKE” Jake was in his thought and said “I know Ki ...you shouldn’t...” then he stopped and yells
“NO...I DON’T...” Kate laughed loudly and run as she yell
“Jake like Tyler...Jake like Tyler” Ja
ke chased her. They go round and round of Gnome.
The wind was softly blowing; their laughs can be listened....
