Dada Wars

  By John Grey

  My head swimming

  half in and out,

  your muscle rolling

  from eyes to chin,

  damn the play,

  damn the audience,

sanity is inarched, bits of me,

  time I came out swinging

  with my cane,

  your lowly Breton,

  your psychic automasm Breton,

  your Dada Dada Dada Breton,

  what's a brawl

  if not art with fists,

  what's a bruise, a cut,

a fist to your Romanian nostrils,

but what I know of love -

it pains me to say it

but I am human after all —

I hate the second rate so much,

I can't wait till the third rate

  gets here.
