Chapter Nine
The News Unfolds
"Yes, yes, I'm aware of the news," the woman at the front desk at the CEO's building said into her phone. "No I don't know all of the details yet." The person on the other line was spewing all kinds of words to the woman. "Look, I was told to not even talk to the press." Again, the person on the other line was asking her numerous questions. "We'll probably get answers to a lot of those questions in the next couple of days. I have a lot of work to get done. Just give what I told you to your writer and just come by later during my lunch break to give me my money."
She slammed the phone down on the receiver. Biting the top of her lip, she only hoped that the other person would live up to their end of the deal. She then turned back towards her computer and continued with her work.
