Page 38 of Blaze

He grazed his teeth over the crook of her neck. “I love your smell. I love it more when I’m fucking you. It gets warmer, sweeter.” She moaned as his teeth tugged at the skin of her neck. “That’s it, baby, let me hear you.”

Harper couldn’t have kept quiet if her life depended on it. Not when she was so full it hurt and her clit was throbbing. A shocked gasp flew out of her as icy fingers began to tweak and pull at her nipples, making them tingle and burn. “I won’t last long if you keep that up.”

His fingers bit into her hips. “You’ll last as long as I want you to last,” he growled.

Motherfucker. She didn’t realize she’d said it out loud until a hand came down hard on her ass. “Hey!” Another sharp slap. She’d never admit she liked how the burn heightened the friction that was building inside her. With her nipples on fire, his teeth digging into her shoulder, his cock stretching and pumping in and out of her… “Knox.” It was a warning. She was going to come and —

He pulled out, spun her, and lifted her up. “I want to look in your eyes when you come.” Knox dropped her hard on his cock, shocking the breath out of her. He didn’t give her any reprieve. Just held her gaze as he powered into her, groaning at the silken, fiery feel of her. “I love feeling your tight pussy squeezing me. Love how wet you get for me.”

She was hardly ever going to have a dry spell when he was such a master at what he did. Harper wrapped herself tight around him, her nails and heels digging into the flesh of his back. “I really need to fucking come.”

“I know, baby.” He used his psychic fingers to part her folds so he hit her clit with her every thrust. “Tell me what I want to know, and you can come.”

She didn’t hesitate. “I love you.”

Growling, he fucked her harder. Deeper. Never looking away from her eyes. “Come for me.”

A scream tore out of Harper’s throat as her release whipped through her, sending wave after wave of bliss washing over her. Biting out a harsh curse, Knox pounded into her once, twice, and then he exploded with a growl of her name.

Leaning her head on his shoulder, limp as a noodle, she asked, “How can you still be hard?”

He kissed her neck. “Why do you always ask me that when you know the answer?”

She gave a weak shrug. “It just amazes me that you even have the energy to go again.”

Holding her tight, Knox carried her to the bedroom and lay them both on the bed, keeping his cock snug inside her. “No going asleep.”

  “I’m not,” she lied.

“Your eyes are closing.” He kissed her and she sighed softly into his mouth. “Stay awake. I have lots more I want to do to you.”

Well, that seemed worth staying awake for. “Can I take off the dress now?”

“No. I spent the entire event imagining all the ways in which I’d take you while you had it hiked around your waist.” He tucked her hair behind her ear, eyes drifting to the spot where the scissors had cut her lobe. And he remembered once again just how close he’d come to losing her.

  “Don’t,” she said softly.

His gaze slid to hers. “What?”

“Don’t think of how badly things could have gone. I’m alive, and I’m here. My wounds have all completely healed.”

He rested his forehead on hers. “I’d like to say I won’t worry so much now that you can call on the flames of hell, but I’ll always worry about you. I’ll always be overprotective to the point of making you crazy.”

“You’re not telling me anything I don’t already know. I mean, you totally overreacted over the rodeo thing,” she teased.

Overreacted? “You rode a wild bull.”

  “At least I didn’t fuck a —”

  “Stop. Just stop.”

She chuckled and curled her arms around his neck. “It’s okay. You can be as overprotective as you want. I’ll love you anyway.”

He smiled. “Good, because I love you, baby. Always will.”

“And you finally fear my mighty wrath, right?” She frowned when he hesitated to answer. Why the hesitation?

“I’ll admit your demon was a little scary.”

“A little? She was freaking terrifying.”

More like high on power and bloated with rage, he thought, but he decided not to say that out loud.

“She was!” insisted Harper. “I can be just as terrifying when I lose it.”

  “Is that so?”

“Yes.” And she did not like the twinkle of amusement in his eyes.

  “Terrifying?”

“I can be so totally terrifying that I scare even me. Why are you laughing? I’m serious, it’s true. You just don’t think so because you’ve never actually seen me that way. If you did, you’d freak out. Really, you would. I’m telling you, fully grown men have run the other way rather than face me when I’m in Berserker mode and – stop laughing!”
