"How was your visit on Saturday?" Five asked when he called Monday afternoon.
"Good," I answered while I worked on my algebra homework.
"What did you do?"
I told him about my visit. Reaching up I touched the necklace. I felt cool and calm since after the first day I'd put it on. I had an awareness of my connection to Akasha, but wasn't bombarded with energy anymore.
"It sounds like a fun day." Five hesitated. "How do you feel about staying with them for the whole weekend?"
I set down my pencil. I didn't have anything against spending the weekend with Gavin and Anali; however, I wasn't hoping I could spend the weekend with them. I knew that things needed to move forward.; Five had his pointy-haired masters to report to, and no matter what I felt about the situation, it would end with my living with Gavin and Anali. "I guess that would be okay."
"Great. I'll call Gavin and let him know. I'm sure he'll be very excited," Five said. "Gavin also asked if he could drive you home from classes, maybe even have dinner after?"
"That's fine with me. I can do homework while I wait for his class to end," I said.
"Sara, if it becomes too much, let me know," Five said, concern in his voice.
I smiled, grateful Five was on my side. "I know, but the sooner I get used to them the better, right?"
"Gavin called you Sapphire several times," Five told me.
"Yeah, Gavin asked if he could, and I said yes."
"Remember I'm here to help. I don't want you to feel pressured," Five insisted. "Now let me talk to Melanie."
"Sure," I passed the phone off and went back to my homework trying to ignore the queasy feeling in my stomach.
