It had been two weeks since the first nightmare. They continued, sometimes with walls of glass or fire, which burned me. Sometimes Gavin and Anali would drive away before I could get close to them. All I knew is that I was being left behind, and none of them noticed I wasn't there.

It’s my fault. If I couldn't access my gifts, I couldn't be with them. Even though I was terrified, I tried to get my powers back. I practiced Garuda yoga with Anali every day and I focused into pulling my gifts out of the hard ball of ash I created weeks ago. I could feel my gifts, the heat from the fire making the rock hard sphere glow and steam, but nothing came out.

Every day I practiced, making fire, trying to read people's emotions, even the breathing meditation, and nothing worked.
